Just off State Highway 35, 5km north of Te Puia Springs on New Zealand's East Cape, is a stunning 18 hole course on a hilltop plateau overlooking the Pacific Ocean and out to Mount Hikurangi, sacred maunga of Ngati Porou. Raised tees, deep gullies, forested fairway edges, streams, lakes and other hazards make a round of golf at Te Puia a scenic adventure.

The East Coast Open Annual Tournament Test
The highlight of the golf year at Te Puia Hot Springs Golf Club is the annual East Coast Open Tournament. This is a two-day match-play event across several divisions, with the East Coast Open Champion title at stake in the First Sixteen. Open to golfers from all over New Zealand this event has brought keen amateur golfers to Te Puia from far and wide for over 50 years.
